Women Ocean Guardians: Leading Ocean Conservation and Sustainable Blue Economies
Launched at the United Nations Ocean Conference in June 2025, the Women Ocean Guardians Initiative is a global public–private coalition that seeks to place women at the forefront of ocean conservation and the sustainable use of marine resources within decision-making processes. By promoting the important participation of women in governance systems, the Initiative aims to contribute to more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable ocean governance outcomes.
