Our Technologies Board members advise on the implementation of sustainability and climate adaptation practices, as well as on the development of green technologies rooted in indigenous wisdom principles.
Felipe Peguero holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics, an MBA, and a Masters in International Agribusiness. He specializes in agricultural economics and climate finance. At the Center for Tropical Agroeconomics and Education in Costa Rica, he coordinates the climate finance component of several key institutional projects implemented across Latin America. His current work centers on the transformative effect of climate finance on agrifood systems.
Riley Kuffner majored in Chemistry and Material Sciences at UCLA. He has experience deploying a wide range of sustainable technologies including solar, energy storage, EV’s, water reclamation, smart home controls, and currently develops urban agrotechnology through his company Miravel.
William Piedra specializes in sustainable, economic development with over 25 years of experience in management, monitoring, and evaluation. He is a computer engineer by profession with a Master’s degree in Information, Technology, and Communications (MSc). His areas of focus include equitable governance, community forestry, and climate-resilient development. His experience spans several International Cooperation and Development Organizations including the USAID, World Bank, CAF, IDB, GIZ, UN Women, UNOPS, and Hivos, among others. In particular, his research and work have provided him with an expertise in decentralized autonomous governance, a pivotal issue in the determination of indigenous rights, both domestically and internationally.
